Siurana reservoir

The reservoir of Siurana is located in a magnificent setting, surrounded by the Serra de Montsant and Muntanyes de Prades. It stops the river Siurana, the main tributary of the Ebre river to the lands of Tarragona.

Beside the majestic mountain of Gritella, which stands perpendicular to its surface, and at the top, the village of Siurana take care the water . The C- 242 just past the town of Cornudella at the right reaches it.

For several years the company Canoakayak established its shore there sporting activities like canoeing and kayaking beginners, boat hire and other adventure sports such as canoe.

One of the most beautiful walks you can do in the surroundings leads the old way from Cornudella to Siurana, a path that begins in the town of Cornudella and goes between rocks up to the legendary village, the last bastion of Christian recapture in Catalonia.

Also take a nice walk along the trail that skirts the reservoir and get up to the Toll de la Palla where in the summer is highly recommended to take a bath.
